Examining the strategic response and approach to integration of resettled refugees in Wales
My doctoral thesis is set to examine the integration of resettled refugees in Wales, looking at the EU, UK and Welsh policy frameworks and practices for resettlement and refugee integration. Drawing from existing guidelines and global recommendations on integration and resettlement, my doctoral thesis aims to underline good practices and challenges, put forward proposals to improve national and local resettlement programmes and promote a better resettlement policy in the UK and Wales.
My thesis will keep refugees at the centre of all efforts by actively contributing to the receiving communities and fostering partnerships, in order to ensure cultural integration and community cohesion.
