Biography
After 20+ years as an English teacher, I felt I needed to spend the rest of my personal and professional life addressing more directly some of the major problems facing humanity. To gain direction, I studied for an MSc in Society, Politics and Climate Change at Uni of Bristol (2022-2023); my dissertation was a conjunctural analysis of an impasse on two Welsh commons, where farmers were reluctant to engage with a small woodland creation charity. I then worked as a programme officer and RA at the Countryside and Community Research Institute (CCRI) at the Uni of Gloucestershire, which has led to this fantastic opportunity for doctoral study. So - that's my professional life. In my personal life, I'm an activist with and spokesperson for Just Stop Oil.
