Mediated neurodivergence on social media in the context of increasing diagnoses and public health service shortfalls
Biography
James Anthony is a PhD student at Cardiff University’s School of Journalism, Media, and Culture (JOMEC), researching health and science misinformation on social media platforms.
He has taught at JOMEC at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He previously worked in London as a digital production journalist, social media strategist, and social marketing editor, for companies, charities, and high-profile individuals.
James has a BA (First Class Hons) in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting, a Postgraduate Diploma in Magazine Journalism, and a MA (Distinction) in Digital Media and Society, all from JOMEC. His Master's research examined the use of ideology and narrative in online COVID-19 misinformation and offline discourse.
