Social Isolation and Acquired Brain Injury
Individuals with acquired brain injury (ABI) report high levels of loneliness following their injury. The aim of the project is to examine the cognitive mechanisms that underpin loneliness in those with an ABI. It is hoped by identifying key variables may lead to the development of interventions to decrease loneliness in those with ABI. This would have beneficial impact at both an individual and systemic level.
